Current Application VS My redesign

Hamburger
HOME

For redesign the UI of this app, I decided to use Glassmorphism combined with Aurora background to modernize the app.

Since this is a redesign of the TD Bank app, I decided combined this effect with a 3D look and a circular background for the icons. I wanted to make sure that everything is understandable and clear to the user from the moment they enter in their account. Too many glassmorphinms could confuse them. All this helps make them more relevant and the bank's brand identity.
I created a kit for the website. I  integrated a proper type scale to ensure the readability and hierarchy of the text content.

Red Hat Text

This app is for users to manage their money. It is an application that must be based on functionality and security. It is important that the user feels safe using it. For the user to feel secure, they must feel that the application is up to date and in tune with the other applications they use daily. To resume, it looks old and outdated, this does not create trust.

Problems.

Bad hierarchy, the icons do not have enough relevance.
Disordered arrangement
Contrast is lost and can not be differentiated.
are confusing, the user experiences unexpected behaviour from them.
They need text to specify what they are
Typography also lacks sufficient contrast and hierarchy. Some font sizes are too small.

Problem analysis UI

This project is a UX case study of the TD Bank Application. I chose this app because I used it regularly and  found many bugs in the UI.

With this project, I wanted to explore new trends and create something modern and striking. I enjoyed the process of designing this application and learned interesting new techniques.

I am a UI/UX design professional, living and working in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have a background in Product Design, and I am passionate about User Experience. I believe in the power of good design and storytelling

My interest in web and mobile app design started when I was working in a product design Studio in Madrid. As a product designer, the first phases of design are very similar to those of a UX designer. Personas, Good Design, Design thinking, Journal Maps, are some of basic concepts in all areas of design. Working in Madrid, I did product design from concept, 3D modeling and rendering, after that came the graphic design presentations of the products.

Although I studied engineering, I was always very interested in graphic design. I took the initiative to create a website for the studio, where I became interested in web design. After doing research on web documentaries, I was fascinated by interactive storytelling and data visualization. After studying at Langara College, I found the career path I want to follow: to become a UI/UX designer and establish a design studio in the future.

How did I get here?
